Lighthouse Show at Calver Marine Museum

My two lighthouse paintings have been juried into the Calvery Marine Museum! They'll be there August/September. If you haven't been to the Museum in Solomon's Maryland, you should give it a go. Kids love it and there are lots of indoor things to do there. And while you're visiting things, come down and see us at the Leonardtown Arts Center at 22660 Washington Street in Leonardtown (2nd Floor). We've got the AC cranked up and we love visitors! Hours are 11-5, Thursday through Sunday.

I've dropped off several paintings at the Calvert Marine Museum, beautiful place with lots to do for the entire family, for those who haven't been.  Several members of the Color and Light Society of Southern Maryland have paintings in the lobby there for the next couple of weeks.   My otherbig news is that I'm expanding from my home base at the Leonardtown Arts Center into two new venues - the Leonardtown Galleria (located in the Antiques Center on Leonardtown Road, (sterting in July) and Keepin it Local in Morganza (my work will be there starting mid-June).  I'm excited at the prospect of connecting with new colleagues and new clients.

The household news is that immediately after hanging our hummingbird feeders yesterday. we had steady visits to the feeders here at Cove Point Beach.  Enjoying the wildlife from deer to rabbits to lizards to birds.  I try to enjoy the spiders, but somehow.......

First   Friday takes place in Leonardtown this evening.  Look forward to greeting visitors there!

My friends have shamed me into creating a web site. So, I am at my studio at the Leonardtown Arts Center, bumbling around with the various elements of the site. I'm sure many of you have been through this same experience. I produce 2-3 paintings a week here and elsewhere, and hang them at various venues here in Saint Mary's and Calvert County, Maryland, as well as here at my Leonardtown studio. I'll be uploading them to this site and sharing them, perhaps selling some, perhaps just providing a little respite for the eyes for some of you. My hope is that this site and blog provide something for you, whether it be beauty, amusement, or a shared "aha" moment. Visit often and let me hear from you.
